Justin by Drew Strouble
"Justin" is a gorgeous Maine Coon cat who is patiently waiting for his people to return home.
Maine Coons are one of the largest breeds of domestic cats and are known as "gentle giants" because of their easy going nature. They are wonderful with children and other pets, too.
Here's some tips on how I painted this piece: After my pencil drawing was complete, I cut a frisket mask to protect the cat and air brushed in the green background to create soft out of focus edges to contrast with the sharp detail of the fur. This technique really adds depth to the overall look of the finished painting.
"Thousands of years ago, cats were worshipped as gods. Cats have never forgotten this." Anonymous

"I just had to send this to thank you for all the personal touches included with the print from the email on ordering to the paw prints on the package. what a great online shopping experience. Justin is gourgeous and is a great addition to our cat art. I also enjoyed the hours i spent pouring over your prints and cartoons deciding which one to get. we saw you on the animal planet show "must love cats". i immediately hit the internet to find out how to buy one. i had no idea it would be such a great experience. As i write this to you my own tabby Rosie is watching every key stroke from her vantage point immediately in front of the computer screen. Thank you so much for sharing your talent with cat lovers everywhere. I am sure this is not my last purchase!!" B. Helter |
